Trika Ashram Society is a non-profit organization run by voluntary members. The aim of the ‘ashram’ is to create a space where a group of people are united through a certain way and goal in life and whom are guided by a certain Parampara (lineage/tradition).

In this kind of spiritual community one is given a chance to adjust and develop their potentialities in a homogenic and attuned way while remaining independent from any social or mainstream type of environments.

The ashram offers a work/study program for those wishing to spend a month or longer deepening their spiritual practice while participating in Karma Yoga (selfless service). Students follow the ashram’s daily schedule of guided yoga and meditation practice and contribute to the ashram life with their voluntary service. It is a core part of yoga sadhana and its primary means to purify the mind and ego in preparation for deeper yoga practice through action (karma yoga), devotion (bhakti yoga) and knowledge (jnana yoga).

There are 3 options for staying in Trika Ashram as a volunteer:

  1. Karma Yoga: practicing Karma Yoga (3h daily, 6 days a week)
  2. Volunteering: practicing Karma Yoga in the morning & afternoon (6h daily, 6 days a week)
  3. Society members: being a part of the small community, living together in spiritual and artistic pursuits. We are open to people who are interested in staying at the ashram long-term (all ages), following the ashram’s way of living, serving wherever needed.

Our ashram tries to be as self sufficient and of conscious art and environmentally constructive as possible. Usually one month is the minimum duration for a volunteer stay. We humbly ask the volunteers for an initial 2 week commitment, as it takes time to adjust to a new environment, weather conditions, way of living etc.
